Defending champion: Rory MIlroy

Interesting stat: Who’s the best player in the world? McIlroy has the No. 1 in the world ranking. But Rory has watched Jordan Spieth stellar year in golf by winning the Masters, U.S. Open, and then coming within one shot of a playoff at the British Open. This year Spieth has four wins, one more than McIlroy, though two of them are majors.
